KOALA FOOD TREES POISONED IN GOONELLABAH
Lismore City Council is investigating the illegal poisoning of trees in a Goonellabah neighbourhood park. Council says holes were drilled into the trunks of two trees and filled with poison. “One’s a mature Tallowwood tree or Eucalyptus microcorys, which is a really important tree as a habitat tree for Koala’s, for our local Koala population.”…

Those in Lismore’s CBD may have spotted something unusual in the sky today… a train was lifted into place at the Northern Rivers’ newest school. The train will be transformed into a classroom at the Living School before the campus’ doors open on January 28.

WORLD SPRINTCAR CHAMPIONSHIPS BRING CROWDS TO LISMORE
Over two and a half thousand people descended upon the Lismore Speedway last night for the World Sprintcar Championship. Two American drivers flew over to compete, but the challenge of the unfamiliar track made for an interesting race to the finish line.

THUNDER GO DOWN SWINGING AT UNDER 13S CRICKET CARNIVAL
