CRASH TRAPS WOMAN IN CAR
Peak hour traffic was brought to a standstill in Lismore this morning, when two cars collided at around 8 o’clock. Emergency services were called to the corner of Ballina and Invercauld roads, where a 22-year-old driver was trapped. The woman was eventually freed and treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Public service workers on the north coast joined today’s industrial action, turning out at Lismore’s Star Court Theatre.

BAIL DENIED FOR FORMER NRL PLAYER, CRAIG FIELD
Former NRL player, Craig Field was denied bail again at Lismore local court today over the alleged murder of Kingscliff man, Kelvin Kane. It’s alleged that Field punched the 50 year old, during an argument outside the Kingscliff hotel in July. Mr Kane later died in Tweed Hospital. The case has been adjourned until December…

PEOPLE OF BYRON WALK IN “SOLAR-DARITY”
Thousands of campaigners have walked from Port August to Adelaide, to hand a petition to the South Australian and Federal Government’s, advocating renewable energy. People of the Far North Coast have showed their support, they walked in “Solar-darity” with campaigners at Byron Bay.

Locals are mourning the loss of of the iconic Rock Valley Post Office, after it was destroyed by fire. Police are now treating the blaze as suspicious.

A former Lismore soccer player is one step closer to making the Asian Football Confederation’s under 16’s tournament in Iran. 15-year-old Jaiden Walker has been selected to take part in the Australian Joey’s 26-player training squad this weekend.
