COMMUNITY MOURNS LOSS OF 17 YEAR OLD JAYLAN STEWART
The Northern Rivers community is remembering Jaylan Stewart who was killed in a car crash over the weekend. The 17-year-old was on a Rugby scholarship at Ipswich Grammar School, and played in the U18’s Marist Brothers NRRRL team. Police are investigating what caused the crash. (NO AUDIO)

MARIST BROTHERS DEFEAT NORTHERN UNITED IN ROUND 5 NRRRL
Round 5 of the new-look NRRRL competition saw Bilambil and Cudgen tied on 12 when an injury cut the game short, while Tweed Coast enjoyed a win over Murwillumbah. Outside the bubble, Casino thrashed Mullumbimby and Marist Brothers defeated Northern United.

SEAGULLS SECURE THE WIN IN ROUND 2 AGAINST RAMS
Ballina looks to be on a winning streak after defeating the Marist Brother Rams in round two of the rebooted NRRRL season. It was a tight contest, but in the end the Seagulls were too good, taking the win 28-16.

NRRL ladder leaders, Ballina, beat Casino in their match yesterday. Byron outclassed Evans Head in a high scoring contest… Cudgen edged out Northern United. In other games, Mullumbimby beat Kyogle 22-18. Murwillumbah had a bye due to Lower Clarence not having a first grade team, and Tweed Coast got home against Marist Brothers 22 points…

NRRRL and second place on the ladder Tweed Coast, had their match result in a bye with Lower Clarence, due to having no first grade team. Kyogle beat Byron Bay 28-16 and Cudgen crushed Evans Head 40-10. In other games, Northern United beat Mullumbimby 24-18, and Casino got home against Murwillumbah 24 points to 22.…
