AGL MACQUARIE FINED FOR CHEMICAL SPILL
The operator of the Bayswater power station at Muswellbrook has been fined $15,000 for discharging ammonia-contaminated water into Tinkers Creek. FIRE DESTROYS HOME IN MUSWELLBROOK
A house in Muswellbrook has been destroyed in an early morning fire. Fire fighters arrived at the scene at around 3am and found the dwelling on Lower Hill Street well alight. Emergency crews originally thought residents were trapped inside, but it was later discovered the owner was out of town on holiday.

POLICE RENEW APPEAL FOR MISSING CARLY MCBRIDE
Muswellbrook Police have renewed their appeal for information on the disappearance of Carly McBride. The Lake Macquarie woman, aged 31, was last seen 10 months ago on Calgaroo Avenue in Muswellbrook.
