SOUTHERN BEACHES DEFEND THEIR GUNNEDAH 10’S CROWN
Southern Beaches have warmed up for the NHRU season by defending their Gunnedah 10s title. Taking on Illawarra side Avondale in the final, the reigning champions made a slow start to trail 10-7 early in the second half. But Beaches stormed home with three unanswered tries to secure a 12-point victory.
