March 9 1988 saw 26,000 fans pack Newcastle’s International Sports Centre, as the home side took on a star-studded Parramatta Eels.

Thousands of Knights fans have turned out at McDonald Jones Stadium in the Hunter today, and it wasn’t even for a game – supporters desperate for a chance to meet some of the side’s new stars. After a short pre-season Chris Heighington has declared he’s ready to play big minutes, but knows that’ll be tough given…
