EAST MAITLAND JUNIORS VISIT GREG BIRD ON THE GOLD COAST
While there’s speculation Greg Bird is being chased by the Knights for next season, today a group of players from the East Maitland club turned up at Titans training to watch the former Origin star. No word yet on whether they were successful in encouraging him to return to the Hunter.

BROWN PRAISES MULLEN’S KICKING GAME
In the NRL and Dane Gagai has been picked at fullback for the Knights clash with the Storm, but he’ll need to pass a fitness test after Origin on Wednesday night. Chris Adams wasn’t named, but is expected to play, while Jarrod Mullen should return from injury.

Nathan Brown says the Knights’ first half performance against the Dragons, left him more disappointed than he’s been in a long time. Newcastle slumped to its ninth straight defeat, going down 30 points to 18. The coach says the form of Nathan Ross was a positive for the home side.
