He’s only been back in training for three weeks but Wollongong’s Nathan Miller still proved too strong for the locals in today’s Sparke Helmore-NBN Triathlon. Cooranbong’s Steph Auston claimed the women’s title, but overall no one could catch Miller.

Despite contending with a wedding procession and the cancellation of the swim because of debris, the first ever women-only Newcastle triathlon has been hailed a success.
