The Northern Inland Premier League is down to a four-team race, after Tamworth FC was knocked out by the Scorpions. Meanwhile the Mushies maintained hopes of a third consecutive premiership, with a two-nil win over East Armidale.

DEMON KNIGHTS LOWER REDMEN COLOURS FOR THE SECOND TIME
While in local football, OVA bounced back to form, Tamworth FC claimed the Dan Haslam Cup, and Moree split the points with Namoi. The Scorpions slotted three past Inverell, and the Demon Knights beat the competition leaders for a second time this season.

While in round 13 of the Northern Inland Premier League, the Redmen and OVA maintained their top two status, and Easts slotted seven goals past Moree. The Demon Knights crushed Inverell, and Northies are now on the edge of the top six.

Honours were split in last night’s Tamworth Women’s Football double header involving Oxley Vale-Attunga and Kootingal. However the OVA Vixens are now clear competition leaders.

DEMON KNIGHTS SLAY REDMEN
The weekend’s Northern Inland Premier League action saw Moree and South Armidale pick up easy wins, and Tamworth FC sneak past Northies. East Armidale and O-V-A shared the spoils, and the Redmen were handed their first loss after failing to fight back from a goal down.
