MAN CHARGED FOLLOWING INVESTIGATION INTO PAEDOPHILE RING
A Lismore man has been charged, following an investigation into an alleged online paedophile ring. The 42-year-old was arrested at Goulburn Police Station yesterday, as part of an ongoing investigation into child sex offences and was charged with allegedly possessing child abuse material. He’s been refused bail and will face Lismore Local Court in August.

NO MAJOR SURPRISES IN BUDGET FOR FAR NORTH COAST
No major surprises for the Far North Coast, in today’s budget – the state government largely delivering on existing funding commitments. However, an additional $1.4-million has been set aside for shark management strategies in the region. While, $2.8-million will go towards Ballina Hospital upgrades. Further north, the low pressure system is currently crossing the Queensland border – strong winds and heavy rain lashing the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers.
