PORT MACQUARIE PRO-AM WINS TOP GONG
Port Macquarie’s biggest golfing event has claimed an accolade of its own, named New South Wales Pro Am of the Year for 2016. The two-day event took out the 36-hole category at the PGA Awards Night in Sydney. The Wauchope Pro Am was also a finalist for the top gong.

NEW LOOK FOR NETBALL COURTS
Some good news for the Hastings Valley netball community, with the redevelopment of the Macquarie Park venue now complete. The $920,000 state government project involved resurfacing all 11 courts and upgrading the clubhouse. Previously, four of the courts were in such a bad state, they were deemed too unsafe to play on.
