In Queensland Cup Rugby League, Tweed remains ninth on the ladder, after going down to fourth placed Redcliffe Dolphins, 42 points to 32. While last placed Easts Tigers mauled Burleigh 18 points to four. The Bears are now sixth on the ladder.

GOLD COAST TEAMS OUT OF QLD CUP FINALS CONTENTION
Queensland Cup reigning premiers the Tweed Seagulls, and the Burleigh Bears have played their last matches for 2008 after failing to make the finals. Burleigh’s campaign was ended by Souths Logan Magpies at Pizzey Park and the Bears finished just a point outside the top five, but didn’t go down without a fight.
