Four Evans Head young Surf Lifesavers sprung into action when they saw two struggling six year old’s in the water on Christmas Eve. It’s a timely reminder to swim between the flags and listen to Lifeguards.

DONKEY FREED FROM MUDDY MESS
Firefighters have come to the aid of a donkey in a sticky situation. Two specialist crews and the Volunteer Rescue Squad used slings to free the creature from mud at a Mangrove Creek property on Monday afternoon. The procedure took around 40 minutes and the donkey was later checked over by a vet. (VISION ONLY.)

LISMORE’S WESTPAC RESCUE HELICOPTER SOON TO HIT 10,000 MISSIONS
While many of us kicked back over the festive season the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was experiencing its busiest time of the year. Between Christmas Eve and January 5th, the service performed 64 rescues across three bases. There were 453 missions carried out in 20-19, and the organisation shows no sign of slowing down in 20-20.…
