AUSSIE CREW CROWNED WORLD CHAMPIONS
Avoca Lifesaver Riley Fitzsimmons has teamed with kayaking legend Ken Wallace, Murray Stewart and Jordan Wood to claim a World Title in the Czech Republic. The 21 year-old says the Australian crew executed the perfect race, winning gold in the K4 1000.

COAST PAIR POWER INTO FINALS
After celebrating his 21st Birthday, Riley Fitzsimmons is through to the final of the K2 1000, at the Junior and Under-23 Canoe Sprint World Championships in Romania. While surf lifesaving star Jemma Smith has made an immediate impact on the International stage, qualifying for the Junior Womens K1 1000.

The month of March has been one to savour for Rob McIntyre. He won his first National Open Kayak title, as well as the State Ski relay championship with Avoca; now he wants gold, at the Aussies.

TAME TARGETS AUSSIE TRIFECTA
Olympic Bronze medallist Lachlan Tame is back in training and focused on the year ahead. He’s aiming for a trifecta at the Aussie Lifesaving Titles, while another goal is to qualify for the World Kayaking Championships in the Czech Republic.

FITZSIMMONS FIRES AT OPENING GRAND PRIX
Olympian Riley Fitzsimmons surprised himself finishing second in the K1-1000 at the opening Canoe Sprint Grand Prix in Adelaide. He’ll now enjoy the Christmas break at a quiet location near Crescent Head. His goals in 2017; representing New South Wales in lifesaving, and his country in the World under-23 Kayaking Championships in Romania.

SPORTS FINALISTS ANNOUNCED
The Central Coast Sports Federation has announced its finalists for 2016. The star-studded line up for Sportsperson of the Year includes four Olympians, two NRL players, as well as the World number two in Moguls skiing.
