Some big news for the Mid Coast, with Taree’s Mathew Croker named in the under-20s New South Wales Origin side. It’s a big step forward for Croker, after three years playing for the Newcastle Knights under-20s team. The Wednesday night game will be the curtain-raiser for the State of Origin decider at ANZ stadium.

CENTRAL COAST ROOSTERS MISS SG BALL CUP FINALS BERTH
The Central Coast’s SG Ball Cup grand final hopes have been dashed by Manly. Manly ultimately secured itself a spot in the decider, with a 24 points to 12 win. That’s despite the Roosters’ Riley Meyn scoring the match’s opening try in the 19th minute, and backing it up with another.

WOODEN’S TIGERS TEAR ROASTED ROOSTERS BY 44 POINTS
Returning to league and there were some big margins in the Central Coast competition in round three. Kincumber defeated Northern Lakes 22-6, Terrigal downed Berkeley Vale 28-8, while Erina belted Ourimbah 50-12. And it was an even bigger showing for the Tigers, smashing the Roosters 50-6.
