ROVERS, RAMS & THISTLES SET TO DOMINATE PREMIER LEAGUE
Strong pre-season showings from the Richmond Rovers, Byron Bay Rams and Lismore Thistles, have made them the teams to beat this soccer season. All three performed well in the Anzac Cup and they’re looking to continue that dominance in Round 1 of the Premier League this weekend.

THISTLES CONTINUE UNBEATEN RUN
The Lismore Thistles have continued their unbeaten pre-season, posting a one-nil win over the Workers last night. The local derby saw plenty of goal-scoring chances but inaccuracy in front of goal and some desperate defence saw a tight contest.

The Far North Coast’s football community have gathered once again, to celebrate the life of Corey New. Players from Lismore Workers and Goonellabah FC taking the field for a tribute match, a decade on from the accident that claimed his life.

COREY NEW REMEMBERED AT ANNUAL FRIENDLY MATCH
The Goonellabah Hornets will be searching for a fifth consecutive win when they meet the Lismore Workers tomorrow. The annual preseason football game is held in memory of Corey New, a soccer-mad teenager who died in a car crash in 2006.
