    Lismore’s Nick Shailes has returned home after a successful campaign at the Mens Softball World Cup. The Australian vice-captian today visiting the local playing fileds where his career began, showing off his second world title.

    A young softball player from Hillville has been selected for an Australian squad, that is supposed to be heading to the US later this year. With all sports up in the air because of coronavirus concerns… the 13-year-old is hoping the event in June will still go ahead.

    Lismore’s Jesse Smith has been selected to umpire at the Junior Women’s Softball World Championships later this year. The Assistant Principal from Trinity Catholic College and internationally accredited umpire beat other hopefuls, and is the only Australian selected to officiate. The championships get underway in the USA in August.
