INTENSE STORM CAUSES FLASH FLOODING
Newcastle experienced an intense and highly localised, rain event last night causing flash flooding along parts of the coastal fringe. 90-millimetres of rain fell in total, with Merewether copping 56-millimetres in an hour. RECOVERY EFFORT CONTINUES IN DUNGOG
Prime Minister Tony Abbott is expected to visit Dungog on the first of July, to inspect the damaged town following the April superstorm. The recovery effort is continuing to move forward, with a major clean-up of Myall Creek to start next week.
