Mark Winterbottom is hoping to stay in the hunt for the Supercars Championship heading into the season ending Newcastle 500 in November. Sitting second after six rounds, “Frosty” met thousands of fans at the Foreshore this morning as part of the Supercars charm offensive. The Newcastle 500 will run from the 24th of November.

RUSSELL POSTS CAREER-HIGH FINISH IN TASMANIA
In V8 Supercars, and the chaos at Symmons Plains in Tasmania worked to Newcastle driver Aaren Russell’s advantage – he recorded a career-best placing of 17th. Russell was towards the back of the field, but managed to narrowly avoid the carnage throughout the race, to finish nine places ahead of where he started.
