    Surfest is now officially underway for 2017, with the Lake Macquarie Festival of Surfing in the water at Redhead today. The longboard, SUP and masters comp marks the start of the month-long event. The teams battle is next weekend, the pro junior follows that, before the main event starts at Merewether on February 20.
