BORE WATER SAVES TENTERFIELD FROM DAY ZERO
Last week, the Tenterfield Shire struck liquid gold – a bore producing 10 litres of water a second to maintain the town’s supply. However, with the dam still under 20 per cent capacity, the council’s introducing harsher water restrictions.

OUT OF CONTROL BUSHFIRE
A grass fire is currently spreading fast from Quarry Road in a westerly direction towards the New England highway. Firefighters and aircraft are working to slow the spread of the fire. People in the area are advised to monitor conditions and follow advice from firefighters.

$2.77 MILLION FOR INTERIM FIX ON ROTTING BRIDGES
