Manning Valley karters will soon be able to test their skills on a newly resurfaced track. However, it won’t be ready in time for next week’s Northern Zone championships – so the tournament has been relocated to Coffs Harbour.

WINGHAM SUMMERTIME RODEO CANCELLED FOR 2021
Wingham has had to cancel its summertime rodeo in January – the town’s biggest sporting event for the year. While 500 people are allowed through the gates, half would already be accounted for by riders, stock handlers and volunteers.

COUNCIL ONE STEP CLOSER TO REPAIR BIGHT CEMETERY DAMAGE
MidCoast Council is one step closer to repairing multiple headstones at Wingham’s Bight Cemetery, releasing a draft conservation management plan. Memorials at the cemetery were severely damaged in July 2019 – when a maintenance program was incorrectly undertaken.
