It’s been announced that The Roosters and Wyong will open the Central Coast Rugby League season with a Grand Final Replay at Woy Woy Oval. The sides will also do battle for the McKenzie Smith Cup, in honour of two legends of the game.

NINES FOOTY ATTRACTS FIJIAN ATHLETES
The fifth annual Jason Annear Nines has reached its maximum of 16 teams, a fortnight out from kick off at Berkeley Vale Rugby League Club. 2015 winners, the Wyong Roos, have entered, along with two Fijian sides, who’ll compete for $8000 in prize money.

COACH CLARKE CELEBRATES FOURTH TITLE
Premiership winning coach Tony Clarke says he will enjoy the moment before making any decision on his future. Saturday’s 20-nil victory over Woy Woy was the fourth title his career, and his first with the Wyong Roos.

Tomorrow’s Central Coast Rugby League grand final between Wyong and Woy Woy will be of extra significance for Roosters’ coach Marc Matthews. The decider will be his final match before he takes on a role in Canada next year.

WYONG THROUGH TO THE BIG ONE
Wyong has advanced to the Central Coast Rugby League Grand Final with a 20 point win over The Entrance. The Roos will now enjoy a week off, while The Tigers face what’s expected to be a bruising encounter with Woy Woy.

ROOS DOMINATE THE KNIGHTS
Wyong proved too strong for Newcastle, taking the Knights down 26 to 16 in the New South Wales Cup. The Roos dominated the game at Hunter Stadium, firming their place in the top eight.
